Have just watched All Creatures Great and Small for the umpteenth time. Do you folk in the northern hemisphere see any TV programs from Australia?

Yes We do Diane, think the Nature programmes are superb, also the Sport ie Cricket,Rugby Union, but not any of the "Soaps" either Australian, British or whatever.
No Diane I did not live right up in the northern Dales, I lived near Ilkley in West Yorkshire on the edge of the Dales - do you know the old song 'On Ilkley Moor bar't hat?' it was always too cold to go out on Ilkley Moor 'without hat'. We lived in a small stone house with huge fires but no central heating as no-one had it in those days so we were warm at the front but freezing behind - that was the reason our mum brought out all her sheepskins at the start of winter and covered all the seats and beds until Spring came again.Everyone did the same in our area. The sheep were out on the Moor allyear round and used to get into our garden and eat all dad's produce and flowers.
To answer the TV question - like Frank I have only ever seen Sport or Nature programmes from Oz. xx
